1. Launch the QuickBooks Desktop application and press key F3 from the keyboard
2. Alternatively, you can press the Ctrl + 1 key on the keyboard to launch the Product Information window which will include the version.



3. Now check and version and note it down. The version will be available on the top-left corner of the screen under the “Product version” tab.

Solution 4: Restart QuickBooks Service

1. Press and hold Windows+R on your keyboard
2. Type Services.msc in the Run dialog box
3. Click OK and then Enter
4. Locate QBDataServiceUserXX where XX represents the version of QB you are using.



5. Select quickbooksDBXX and then select Restart from the left panel. 

Solution 5: Set Folder Access Permission

1. Open Properties by right-clicking on the service name



2. From the Security tab, click Everyone for Group or User Name
3. Choose Full Control from the Permissions for Everyone menu.
4. Click Apply and then OK
